Each ladder is carefully charred by hand, bringing out the grain, knots and individual markings within the timber and creating the distinctive rustic finish. Because the character of every piece of timber is different, no two ladders will ever be exactly alike.

The construction is just as considered as the finish. The ladder is made entirely without metal fixings, using traditional wooden joinery and hand-fitted dowels to secure the rungs. Once completed, the timber is treated with a protective wax finish, helping to protect the surface while enhancing the natural grain and character of the wood.

Thoughtful details make it practical as well as decorative. The tops of the uprights are gently rounded to help protect the wall surface, while the feet are precision cut at an angle so the ladder sits securely when leaning against the wall and helps reduce the chance of slipping.

Perfect for displaying blankets and throws in a living room or bedroom, or for hanging towels in a bathroom, it offers useful storage without taking up valuable floor space.

Details: 120cm high × 52.5cm wide × 6.5cm deep, with approximately 45cm between the uprights. Completely hand built, hand-charred and wax protected, with four solid wooden rungs and no metal fixings.
